Hey ladies! It seems like it was just the beginning of summer!. With there only being one week left in August AND school has started, it is time to start thinking about Fall! One of the great things about living in Houston is that many of our summer looks can easily be transitioned and worn in the Fall/Winter.
Shirt dresses were really hot this summer! I absolutely LOVE them and made sure that I had several of the many different styles in the Style Room. Whether you enjoy the short or long dresses, they are definitely transitional pieces. I wanted to give some tips on how to style them and, also show you some of the styles that we have available in the style room.
How ever you choose to wear your shirt dress, they are great for everyone because they look great on everyone no matter the size. You can wear them with a belt or wear it loose, it is totally up to you.
One of the first ways that I wore the shirt dress was by tying it up and wearing it as a top with a skirt (see below). This look can also be done with jeans or leggings.
The second way to wear a shirt dress is to pair it with a scarf or a wrap, a cute jacket and some boots and/or booties.
In addition to pairing the shirt dress with leggings, you can also wear a pair of knee or thigh high boots. If you want to forego the leggings, pair the shirt dress with tights or fishnet hosiery and a pair of boots. This look is both edgy and sexy!
I am a big believer in having pieces that transition a couple of seasons. The key to that is having great pieces in your wardrobe that allow for this.
